Friday 14th January

I remember seeing Operator please on Jools Holland about a year or so ago, but I didn’t really pay any attention to them because the Specials were about to perform ‘Man at C&A’ (which they did brilliantly) and I was having a brief ska phase back then. Whilst this song as it stands isn’t particularly remarkable, it came on shuffle on the bus earlier, and with the rain running down the windows it just seem to fit, and I like it when songs do that. Alot. So I decided to check out the rest of their album. ‘On the prowl’ seems to draw from several different styles bringing order out of alot of noise with soothing melodic lyrics that remind me of Paramore’s slow stuff. (I only know one song by Paramore and it’s slow)
